The evaluation, spanning October 2023 to March 2024, reviewed 599 medical institutions across South Korea, focusing on the treatment of hospitalized pneumonia patients aged 18 and older. Key performance indicators included oxygen saturation testing, use of severity assessment tools, sputum culture testing, blood culture testing before initial antibiotic administration, and the rate of appropriate antibiotic administration within eight hours of hospital arrival.

Bucheon Hospital achieved perfect scores across these metrics, while also outperforming the average for tertiary hospitals in monitoring indicators such as readmission rates and mortality rates.
“The dedication of our medical staff and our robust clinical systems have driven this consistent success,” said Dr. Moon Jong-ho, the hospital’s director. “We remain committed to ensuring patients can trust in our care.”
