[Hinews] BUSAN, South Korea — Samyook Busan Hospital announced on July 30 that it has been named one of Busan’s top institutions for international patient care in 2024 by the Busan Metropolitan City government, marking its second consecutive year receiving the honor.

The recognition is part of Busan’s annual initiative to promote medical tourism, honoring 30 outstanding institutions, including general hospitals, clinics, and medical tourism agencies, based on their success in attracting foreign patients. Samyook Busan Hospital was listed among the top 10 general hospitals, alongside prominent institutions such as Kosin University Gospel Hospital, Busan National University Hospital, and Haeundae Paik Hospital. This achievement reaffirms Samyook Busan Hospital’s status as a trusted provider of medical care to international patients.

The hospital’s International Medical Center plays a pivotal role in its success, offering dedicated coordinators fluent in English, Russian, and Japanese to ensure seamless communication for patients. The center also offers multilingual websites, engages patients through social media, and delivers tailored services—such as admission and discharge support and post-treatment follow-up—to meet the needs of foreign patients.

“Samyook Busan Hospital is committed to enhancing our globally accredited medical environment to ensure that international patients receive care with confidence,” said Dr. Myung-sub Choi, Director of Samyook Busan Hospital.
