[Hinews] SEOUL, South Korea — Hanyang University Hospital has received a Grade 1 rating in the 2023 Breast Cancer Care Evaluation conducted by South Korea’s Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA). The hospital achieved a composite score of 94.39, surpassing both the tertiary general hospital average (93.75) and the national average (88.13).

The year-long evaluation, conducted from January to December 2023, assessed the quality of breast cancer care across medical institutions in South Korea. It focused on key indicators, including the availability of specialized personnel, completeness of pathology reports, and the rate of radiation therapy administered after mastectomy. Hanyang University Hospital achieved perfect scores in these categories and performed strongly in other measures, including the rate of multidisciplinary care.
