[Hinews] SEOUL, South Korea — ShinShin Pharmaceutical, a leading South Korean pharmaceutical company, announced on August 26 that it had donated essential medical supplies to support a humanitarian mission by the nonprofit MGU in Papua New Guinea. The effort was carried out under the company’s corporate social responsibility initiative, "ShinShin H2O Life."
The medical outreach took place from July 20 to 26 in Kimbe, New Britain Island, a region of Papua New Guinea where healthcare infrastructure is severely limited. A team of 33 medical professionals participated, delivering care to local residents. ShinShin supplied a range of pharmaceuticals tailored to the region’s needs, including topical analgesics, insect repellents, and medications for throat infections.

Donations also included essential over-the-counter items such as adhesive bandages and antiseptic patches, along with anti-inflammatory drugs and treatments for hemorrhoids. These supplies were used not only to treat patients but also to support the health of the medical team working in challenging conditions.
MGU, a social welfare organization focused on providing healthcare to underserved communities, has been a partner of ShinShin Pharmaceutical since 2022. The company has consistently supported MGU’s efforts, including medical missions in Cambodia, Indonesia, and initiatives aiding migrant workers in South Korea.
"ShinShin is committed to supporting MGU’s mission to expand healthcare access," said Byung-ki Lee, president of ShinShin Pharmaceutical. "We will continue to uphold our social responsibility by helping more people lead healthier lives."
