An LG Household & Health Care representative emphasized the evolving landscape of the global beauty industry, noting, “The focus is shifting beyond mere wrinkle reduction to slowing the aging process at the cellular level.” The partnership will target key hallmarks of aging—cellular and molecular damage, inflammation, and mitochondrial dysfunction—addressing these factors to promote healthier, longer-lasting skin.
The collaboration is poised to develop novel, high-efficacy ingredients using synthetic biology, a field that leverages engineered biological systems to produce targeted compounds.
