Hosted by the Incheon Branch of the Korean Society of Radiology, the conference drew approximately 3,000 participants, including domestic and international healthcare professionals and university students, to share advancements in medical technology and academic research.
The hospital’s radiology team secured notable accolades, with three of their eight submitted papers in the member category receiving top awards. Radiologist Min-jong Kim was honored with the Incheon Branch President’s Award for outstanding research contributions in radiology and dedicated community service.

Radiologist Chae-hyun Song received the Best Paper Award for the study titled “Clinical Application Evaluation of Triangulation Method Using Breast Phantom.” This research was highly praised for proposing a method to more precisely measure lesion locations in mammography, enhancing diagnostic accuracy.
Additionally, radiologist Hyung-se Ham earned an Excellence Award for the paper “Development of a Shielding Device to Reduce Indirect Radiation Exposure for Medical Personnel During CT Examinations Using Ambu Bagging.” Radiologist Su-min Jung also received an Excellence Award for the study “Development of an Assistive Device for Chest CT Examinations in Patients Unable to Maintain Supine Position.”
Byung-taek Kim, head of the radiology team, emphasized the significance of the achievements. “These awards demonstrate our team’s research capabilities and their direct impact on patient safety in clinical settings,” he said. “We will continue to advance research and improve practices to ensure a safer radiological examination environment.”
